Wind Mill Trainer
Wind power has existed in a smaller scale for decades but is now used as an important power producer in parallel with the classic energy sources. Windmills can be placed in the sea along the coastline, with the power beeing transferred to the grid network by HVDC-light cables on a floating voltage level. Among other things, this rather complex procedure of turning floating DC voltage into 3-ph 50 (60) Hz AC can be studied thoroughly with our Wind Mill trainer. This is very important since most types of windmills are using this method.
